Local performance artist Jenni Lynam will be performing pop up poetry sessions with a food inspired theme in local businesses throughout Athenry. Keep your eyes and ears to the ground for these spontaneous foodie poetry bites during the Bia Lover festival from the 16th to 18th of June in Athenry.

About Jenni Lynam

Jenni graduated from the O’Donoghue Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance, NUIG with a bachelors degree in Theatre Studies. Previous to NUIG Jenni also graduated from Cholaiste Dhulaigh, Coolock with a Diploma in Drama. She returned to her native Galway where she has worked as an actress and deviser with companies as diverse as Macnas, The Patrician Musical Society and Athenry Drama Group. She’s also worked on TV and film. As well as acting, she’s also a Drama teacher and artistic director of Ewica Theatre Company, a recently formed not for profit arts group based in rural East Galway (Athenry). This group writes and devises new pieces for children and young people.
